Hey, I have another question. Just today I noticed what seems to be an issue with the RPi5 specifically that's not present in RPi3 (and probably RPi4).Not currently. We might investigate if there's any aspect-ratio signalling that could go into the DRM mode that might help applications understand the screen shape; or failing that, maybe we'll restore a "fake" 480p mode. But right now it's a choice of 240p or 480iIs there an extra parameter or something I can put so that the proportion is the same as 480i, just 240p like before? Thank you.
(Yes, I'm surprised about that 'i' as well.)
Sadly, I have no way to test this on any other distro besides Lakka, though I tried.
In Lakka, when RetroArch is configured to output to a CRT:
On RPi5:
480i is 30 fps
240p is 60 fps, but has hiccups. Especially noticeable if I set Max Swapchain to 2.
On RPi3:
480i is 60 fps
240p is 60 fps, no hiccups, performance is fully smooth.
Is this a known issue?
