Yes, I know I have installed an unofficial copy. But when I run speediest from a script I use the full path to /usr/bin/speedtest.I used the instructions on the page. How do I get the official version? I already followed the steps on the page you cited.
You've probably got a manually copy of the unofficial speedtest-cli installed somewhere. Run "which speedtest" to see the path. The official client is installed to /usr/bin/speedtest so if you get anything else then its another copy.
I installed the unofficial copy in the hope that it would work better than the official copy that I had and which was returning bad results.
Code:
pi@raspcondo:~/.local/bin $ which -a speedtest/home/pi/.local/bin/speedtest/usr/bin/speedtest
