Hey everyone,
We have a project based on the CM4 with a Waveshare Nano A that allows groups of people to speak directly to each other on the smart phones.
See this for more details. (https://www.button.network/buttonnet-connect.html). It runs on Ubuntu (no desktop) and also includes a powerful WiFi transceiver and a USB power pack, all wrapped up in a . . . fanny pack, I guess. Let's call it a satchel.
We would like the guide to be able to learn remaining power level without opening up the satchel and peering at the battery pack. Can we?
I have seen replies to several similar questions on this forum saying, 'nope', 'no' and 'nopety nope'. If that is still the case here, can I ask for some additional color? There ARE protocols for this, based on this reading: https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... pdo-or-pps and, say, this one https://askubuntu.com/questions/1466278 ... t-charging.
For all I know, the fact that all these devices support USB-C is a giant head fake and it's just 5v on a pin. That would be weird and -- dumb. Anyway, here is a representative power pack. https://www.amazon.com/LENUTO-Portable- ... r_1_1_sspa We can, and would switch to a different model if that get's us this feature.
Thank you,
Brian
