The trick to finding the info on the web is that right clicking is invoking the context menu. So searching for "add context menu items to pcmanfm" got me https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 63#p516863

I tried it out on Pi4B 4G running stock RasPi OS Bookworm under Wayland and it's easy to set up.
  1. Right click a plain text file in your home directory and choose Open with...
  2. Choose the Custom Command Line tab
  3. Enter sudo mousepad as the Command line to execute:
  4. Enter Mousepad as Root as the Application name
  5. Click OK
Now whenever you right click a plain text file Mousepad as Root will be an option in the menu. Mousepad will also helpfully have a red warning banner reminding you that you are running as root and can harm your system.

FYI - the desktop entry file is saved @ ~/.local/share/applications
