General • pi pico 2040 stops working after a while

i have 2 pi pico w non h. i can use them for a while. after some messing arround and doing stuff they stopped being able to connect to my pc. then. after sitting unplug for a long time (not sure how. but at maximum month) they start workinga again. i thought it could be my fault but due to inconsistency and literally happening to 2 different pies i started to belive that it is more win 11 related. the cable works. i tried a couple of ESP32 dev board and they both are being detected. the pies it is just nothing. it doesn't show as misconfigure device. nothing. i even saw USB tree view and nothing. not a single device is shown when connected. this is basically all i tried https://github.com/wirytiox/Simple-pico-buttons
i tried starting them while holding boot. still. nothing. i don't have my multimeter in hand so i can't do electrical testing. so any ideas?
