maybe helps viewtopic.php?p=2250311&hilit=Multiple+i2s#p2250311I actually was thinking about a similar use case for Rpi - I need at least two I2S ports and my understanding is that e.g. at Rpi5 there are theoretically two I2S ports but they are not accessible via available pinout mapping.
So the PIO could be a solution to implement 2 or multiple I2S ports - would it make sense ?
