I am not aggressive at all, but there were repeatedly off-topic posts e.g. expressing doubts and uncertainty from posters with little experience in the field, e.g. about alleged illegitimacy and impracticability, which had to be corrected.
As to my on-topic question in the TOP, there are some reasons why I am interested in a C/C++ programming solution beyond Linux (but which reasons actually is not relevant here) - I am just looking for experiences in this regard, even if they are or will be (evidence based) minority reports.

And BTW, as already stated,
@ Jamesh, @ admins/mods:
The subforum ""Programming C/C++"
is nowhere thematically restricted to Linux, and my TOP question here actually also concerns just the topic "Programming C/C++".
Therefore and because it's a legitimate objective interest of mine, please move it back to the subforum of the same name.
No. Your question has been answered, no need to move anything. There are no GPIO libraries for Windows on Raspberry Pi. And no official version of Windows on Raspberry Pi either.

Your question has been live for a while, I do not expect any further (new) information to be forthcoming.

As for " thematically restricted to Linux", this forum is thematically restricted to use of Raspberry Pi where the vast majority of people use Linux (where GPIO is well supported). I'd suggest using that. If that is not possible, then I am afraid you are out of luck. Unless you fancy writing the drivers yourself. Which would be an excellent development experience.
