my question has not been answered as no single report on experiences with C++ gpio code on RPi-Windows OS has been posted - nonetheless I am optimistic that some additional members will perhaps read and answer that in the future.
What the vast majority in the C++ programming subforum do or use is not the question, C++ programming is not restricted to Linux, OTOH my topic is about the Raspberry Pi, and so C++ for the RPi (4/5) run by another OS is a valid C++ programming topic: so my request to list my topic over there is a legitimate request.
The suggestion to write drivers by my own can of course only be understood as a joke, and beyond that it is off-topic, as my TOP question is about experience reports.
