Sorry what you mean my outlet is well behaved?

I'm not talking about usb boot, memory card boot,just plug in a flash drive,is it possible to be an os issue or a firmware/epprom one?
If there are extreme amounts of electrical noise in your mains circuit the PD handshake is more likely to fail. Such has been reported in one case on this forum. I don't know the solution--maybe a power line conditioner or servo voltage stabilizer--more likely an electrician.
