You need to monitor the battery voltage yourself, has nothing to do with undervoltage warning given by the Pi4 firmware/kernel. That is needed to protect the battery. The Pi and its SW should not have a problem with ad-hoc power cuts although it is usually more convenient to shutdown. If you do camara recording make sure to use MPEGTS container format. That has no problem with sudden power cuts.Is there a pure software solution for undervoltage situations? I want to power my pi using rechargeable batteries and a switching regulator circuit. I know the pi has undervoltage detection. Is there some way to use that to trigger the pi to shutdown properly and save data at a certain voltage? I plan to use the pi as a camera and recording.
