I think it is just you, unless there isn't a lot of room for your OS to write to during use.

There is no practical difference between the OSes installed by PINN and their equivalent installed by e.g. Rpi Imager. Only the format for delivery is changed. But if you try to cram too many OSes onto the same SD card without leaving space for operation or growth, then they could suffer from performance issues like disk thrashing etc.
