Python • Re: Virtual environment insanity

I'm failing to install an ADS1115 A/D converter library. Is this related to the virtual environment? The VI is activated (active?).
I've been running:
sudo pip3 install adafruit-ads1x15
and
sudo apt install adafruit-ads1x15

I get "unable to locate package python-install" and "unable to locate package adafruit-ads1x15" errors.

I've download the adafruit-ADS1X15-master download from github, and I"ve tried putting it everywhere on my Pi with no improved results.
Thoughts?
