On Raspberry Pi I tried using Workrave to remind me to take rest, but the notification popup does not show up on the GUI. Neither does the screen block or input block that Workrave is supposed to provide, even after setting it in the preferences.
I created my own eye rest program in Python which uses plyer to display systray notifications, but even that program crashes because such notifications are not supported on RPi.
Is there any way to display notifications on top of all other windows or somewhere near the systray to remind users to rest their eyes?
I'm using Linux raspberrypi 6.6.51+rpt-rpi-v7 #1 SMP Raspbian 1:6.6.51-1+rpt3 (2024-10-08) armv7l GNU/Linux.
