What happens when a bird sits on the panel and adds some "abstract art"? Do you have a wireless connection to request a cleaning service?
Will there be trees or buildings shading the panel?
Some of the local designs I see have the panel and battery down at a level where someone can service it with just a little ladder. There is then a wire up to the camera or whatever. At street level, you can use a cheap motorcycle battery. There is no wind factor on the solar panel.
If the pole has the right orientation to the sun, you can use long thin panels running down the pole as they have little wind factor.
