hmmmm i see the rp1 has 2 xhci controllers which can function as 2 usb 3.0 and 2 usb2.0 connections or 4 usb 2.0 connections in chapter 5 from the datasheet. I read the datasheet wrong because in chapter 1 introduction it said two xhci controller with each a usb 3.0 connection and usb 2.0 connection I misread and thought it sead 2 usb 3.0 connection and 1 usb 2.0 connection.the RP1 has 2 usb3 ports, and 4 usb2 ports
the blue ports on the board, are using both a usb2 and usb3 connection at the same time
also, the 4 usb2 ports, are split between a pair of internal 2 port hubs, with 2 root usb2 ports
the bcm2712 i believe then has 2 usb controllers, the crusty old dwc2, and a broadcom xhci
but both of those are usb2 only, and share the usb-c port that power comes in on
