I do sometimes run a browser on a Pi3.
It works; but it's not rapid. For occasional use; I consider it to be acceptable for what I want; but I wouldn't want to use it as my main desktop machine. I don't currently have any Zeros but, I suspect that the same thing would apply.
The best thing to do is to try it and see.
