This is an offer of limited help using KSNIP
I don’t know if this article:
https://umatechnology.org/how-to-use-ks ... ent-101082
is outdated (MAY be for an old ver of KSNIP. I am using v. 1.10.1.0 I’ve only been using the product for about an hour.
1. I do not find a REGION option as stated in the article..
2. The region selection procedure. Open KSNIP, Shift/T. Click CROP. Large window opens showing desktop. Adjust the outer most frame to the edges of the target (selects target).
3. Click Apply (lower right corner of that window)
4. Click SAVE and close KSNIP.
5. I find a new .png on my desktop and it is a shot of a selected region of an image.
I hope some users found this helpful.
DISCLAIMER:
Began using KSNIP (seems to be very good) for the first time ever about an hour ago. What I have posted here are the results of trial and error and covers only snipping a selection of an image. There certainly could be better ways. This was ‘learned’ on a Raspberry Pi 400 running:
Raspberry Pi OS with desktop and recommended software
Release date: November 19th 2024
System: 64-bit
Kernel version: 6.6
Debian version: 12 (bookworm)
