Support for Arducam products (particularly where they are using their own version of libcamera) has to come from Arducam.

link frequency has nothing to do with the focus control, and having had a quick look at the driver, I see little reason for why they bother offering a lower link frequency in the first place. I vaguely recall some history where it is due to limitations with one of their CSI2 extension products.
Why do you think you need to reduce the link frequency? Are you following some documentation that recommends that? Provide a link to it.
