Troubleshooting • Re: Creating a WiFi hotspot

On Bookworm GUI, hotspot is easy.
Click on the network icon.
Select "Advanced Options"
Double click the wifi SSID
Change "Client" to "Hotspot"
Select :Wifi Security" tab and enter passphrase.
Save and turn on wifi.

In fact it's even easier than that!

On the advanced menu there is a "create wireless hotspot" option.

Just select that and set it up.

et...voila!

I use the hotspot facility on my boat. We have an external adaptor that picks up the WiFi from a marina or wherever we happen to be and the internal one distributes the connection locally via a hotspot.

With NM and the GUI, it's child's play....so even non technical crew can reconnect to a different WiFi provider.
