Thanks, you are correct, it was announced in Oct 2024.

What is more labwc supports always-on-top though I don't know if that applies to a Pi as yet.

X11 will be a sad loss after many years of faithful service :cry:
Interesting. I didn't know the older Pi computers had enough RAM for Wayland plus Labwc.
We've optimised things to enable us to use it across the entire range. You should see performance improvements on the older devices. And of course, Wayland is a general improvement over X11 anyway because it makes it possible to use more HW acceleration.
That's great news.

Are there any plans for long-term legacy support of X11 and old video drivers for the Pi Zero?
