+1 w.r.t. Filezilla - I have used it on various supported platforms/O.S.'s for many years including for work, "pre-Pi" ie. >12 years. (Also PuTTY for SSH etc.For file transfer I use the excellent Filezilla on the PC and proftpd (free) on the Pi.
