Welcome. We are a community of helpful Raspberry PI Users most of whom are not related to RPI.Hi,
I am new to the world of Raspberry Pi, I purchased a new Raspberry Pi 5 - 16gb (yes I know probably don't need 16gb but I am retired and have the money)
Actually 3 questions:Questions:
1. Can I do a dual boot os system one with Batocera Linux latest and one with an Android 15 installation and upon boot up I can choose which os I want to boot to? Purpose I want to also play android games on the Raspberry Pi 5 not just emulated games.
- Is Bartocera Linux available for RPI and the answer seems to be yes https://batocera.org/download
- Is Android available for RPI and yes. Example https://emteria.com/lp/raspberry-pi-imager-android-rpi5
- Can you dual boot? Answer seems to be yes but it is not something native to RPI. See the following for examples and choices https://www.google.com/search?q=dual+bo ... e&ie=UTF-8
This is a question to ask on the Pironman Forum as well as checking if it is supported under Batocer (which you seemed to have confirmed) and Android OS's. This is not a question for RPI IMHO.I also own the Pironman 5 Mini Raspberry Pi 5 case and I know that I can use Batocera Linux and still utilize the Pironman 5 software which is also desired when I boot to Batocera Linux or can I do both on Batocera Linux and play android games on it like COD Mobile etc.
2. Anyone know of SSD M2 2280 2tb and/or 4tb model that will work with Gen 3 speeds if I force this speed on the Pironman 5? I also don't want to solder anything if I don't have to make it power on.
Please realize that your questions to do not relate to using the Raspberry PI OS as such you may get responses from users with similar configurations but personally I only work with the RPI OSLike I said I new to the Raspberry Pi 5 and I know maybe playing android games might not run well but i want to try it out - seen videos online posted that you can get it to work, just don't know how well like COD Mobile.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read my questions/replies.
Good luck
