aBUGSworstnightmare, thank you for the try!

I supported three SPI displays before. I was not able to make working any of them. Sure there are many other SPI displays on the market but I don't have a budget to try all of them. I bought many of them (SPI and HDMI). Some I was able to return some I still hope to make working.

Strange, but I also was not able to make working even the Official DSI 7" display (partially works only with vc4-fkms-v3d) and some HDMI displays (e.g. Waveshare 7.9" HDMI). I gave up... for now.

If you will be able to make your SPI display(s) working I'll probably buy it and create the disk image.

Regarding the resolution, you found the right place. It's defined in the file /home/pi/Peppy/configuration/config.txt (width/height). For the 3.5" disk image it's 720x480 as this is the minimum which I was able to make working with that Waveshare display. The hardware resolution 480x320 didn't work. You can try, maybe it will work for you.

The 'mode' property in the current.txt keeps the current player mode like 'Radio', 'Audio Files' etc. When you start player next time it starts in the mode saved in that property if you gracefully shutdown player by clicking twice on the Power Off icon.

Thanks again!
