So it seems the fan could actually be defective. And it very much looks like a custom part made to fit into the Armor Lite V5 heatsink... I guess I'm good to order a new complete assembly... *sigh*.
No it doesn't. I just retested and it does not spin. I have confused this fan with another one I was testing at the same moment. So I whipped out the multimeter and read 0 Ohm between tach (yellow) and GND, which ChatGPT says is not good (not savvy enough to know this myself).I've tried to power the fan with an external supply and it runs
