My point still stands. If you buy a generic 'charger' used for mobile devices, I don't believe you can believe the wattage. However, something advertised as a 'power supply', like from RP, then there is a good chance the specs match the actual output.You are free to disagree. The charger is in the phone. The power supply is external to the phone. It is true that some power supplies don't work well with a Pi, but that's because they are not good power supplies for the Pi not because they are "chargers".I disagree. I've purchased chargers that did not run the RPI even though the quoted amperage was more than sufficient. A mobile phone doesn't care; it will just charge slower. Get a power supply.
When we are talking about mobile phones, which we are, there is no difference.
