Just been using the shotcut video editor on Pi5, spent about 30 seconds skipping through the basic tutorial and everything fell in place. On the Pi5 rendering was approx realtime: a second per second H264 1280X720@30 MP4.

I like that the project files are text so if you move the source files you can edit the project file to correct the filepaths rather than lose the project like some other editors.

Very pleased with shotcut, video editors are those programs I often scream at but using shotcut was a calm experience, no computer shaped holes in any windows..

I was initially going to install openshot-qt but noticed it was going to install modemmanager and wpa-supplicant, wth have they got to do with video editing? Swerved that one.
