If the boot diagnostics screen shows there is no EDID then it's can be the cable (No wires for the DDC bus) or the display (No EDID at all).
are you Sure your monitor ist 1920x1024 and Not 1980x1080pixels? I'm pretty sure your TV will not come up with a video mode forced to 1920x1024.
