Hello everyone,
I'm looking to generate some web pages for my projects. I mostly use Gitlab I know there is all this integration stuff on git hosts to help do this but I'm looking to do it on Pi and then upload them.
What I'm looking to do is organise all the readme files in such a way that they can be found, some of my repos have them hiding in sub directories. I know I need to rewrite them and that a SSG will likely create a project folder for me that I can use to accomplish this. I used markdown for my docs but have discovered asciidoc and it seems more in tune with how I want to write docs. I've looked at the recommendations and I'm lost as to what is best to use and will work well on my current setup. My primary goal is to get my documentation in order and all the information so it can be found, my secondary goal is to do a micro dev blog? or whatever you call them something I can post what changes I've made, what the thought process is, announcements or new releases. I've looked at HUGO and JEKYLL, the version of hugo in the repo is very old I wasn't keen on the pre-built stuff by a third party. However it seems to be the fastest and for a Pi user that what you want. I have never used these tools and would like to see if anyone uses these things and what their thoughts are on them.
All of my projects are geared to the Pi or the Pico, and I use a Pi as my main PC so I hope that I'm posting in the correct place.
