PS: This thread was initially created on the HAT and other peripherals section, but I thought to link it here for convenience as I'd like to talk about more audio focused stuff about this soundcard and the Pi Os with Pipewire possibilities... there are two pictures on the other thread I would not repost here for convenience, save forum space. tnx.

Good news and bad new.

I just bouth this Sinilink AP50H HiFi sound card - small portable bluetooth 100W amplifier.
Connected to the PI 5 and it was automatically recognized and now I have audio out!!

The card was recgnized as JetliBr21
This is the good news.
The bad news is that audio out is very low, the board doesn't have big caps at all...
and there is no way it can support 100W 8Ohm speakers...
Also Bluetooth seems to be always active and I need to find a way to disable it...
Or I will just cut the antenna traces and put a physical switch...
Bc the device some time to time stops audio and it seems related to some kind of network activity,
as it it in constant active search mode...
I have no idea what pressing the dial do...
In theory there is an Android app for smartphones and that is where the knob - dial encoder would come into play.
Otherwise on the Rasp Pi 5 I have yet to find a use other than Volume control.

Still, it works. It is cheap, and it didn't need to install any driver.

Ok, latest edit. I didn't cut no traces and neither disabled bluetooth on the Pi, as it seems it was an non-option to disable it
if one wanted to enable ttymidi over the GPIOs...
Everything is still in place and I still haven't made the midi connections going...

Instead, I wanted to talk about the possibility to DIY modify the USb output so they are DC coupled ( with a on-off switch)
And try to use the audio out , the speaker out, which are really good in the end...
I didn't measure the Pttv but it could well be within -3v/+6v range... almost 10v pttv...
And if can DC couple that... I could get some clean gate signals out of them... even midi... if you know the trick...

So, if I sparked some interest on some DIY stuff and crazy Eurorack EuroPi-X-Autodafe integration...
Get involved!!! Share your secrets!!!

I shrunk the picture in the meanwhile..

I'm still a noob concerning Pipewire I admit it... and the DAW of choice that is cardinal is again something else... it's
like VCV rack but Native for ARM Linux... and it's not a DAW to speak but a modular environment with virtual modules.

This subject trascend the nature of this thread, that is about this tini tiny Usb Sound card-Amp...
The cross-talk thread for Pipewire and Cv integration is here:
