Hi,
I purchased the SSD kit for my Pi 5 and installed it. On booting no disk icon appeared and it wasn't present when viewing my files. I entered sudo lsblk -o UUID,NAME,FSTYPE,SIZE,MOUNTPOINT,LABEL,MODEL, and the drive appears but the fstype for the drive is blank. Is this normal.
I had followed the instructions on https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... -plus.html
After some digging I managed to create a volume and partition on the drive and then format the drive. I am worried that there is a fault with the drive and wanted to confirm before getting back to "The Pi Hut" to replace it.
Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
Kernel: Linux 6.12.25+rpt-rpi-2712
Architecture: arm64
Cheers
Alan
