I also bought the Ugreen USB-C cable that supports 100W and 5A.
What does "supports 100W and 5A" mean for the marketeers of Ugreen?

Probably means the smart chip in the cable tells the PD source it can handle 5A at up to 20V. Hopefully the relevant cores (IIRC the PD supply comes in over the unused CC wire) can handle 5A.

Voltage drop is a whole 'nother issue though.
I was typing about that 'chip-in-connector' but removed it as this is Pi4 and also there are cables that simply indicate '100W 5A' but very thin and/or bad metal (and low price), so actually fake ones. I once bought a Ugreen GbE USB3 adapter, indeed Gbit ethernet, but max throughput about 600Mbps. Well known now, it is an ASIX chip inside that seems to be available now in -A updated revision (and can hopefully do 940Mbps).

Same as for fake SD-cards and also for illegal rebranding, there are plenty of opportunities for business (or should I just say criminals) to earn money. Many end-users won't use the whole storage. Many won't use/need more than a few 100 Mbps. Many will be fine as they use the Pi5 without power hungry USB devices. So never know you have been fooled.
