Not sure what you mean by audio in, no pi's have audio line audio in but can be added with a USB adaptor etc.
Another audio in method is using Bluetooth and playing your music from your phone etc. If you want to use Bluetooth then you need at least a pi3. A pi3 will also give you WiFi which is good for Internet Radio etc.
I have built various mp3 / Internet Radio players using pi2, pi3a, pi3b, pi4 and pi5. Dependent on the features you want l would recommend at least a pi3.
