Networking and servers • Re: Time out and fail to mount Synologic NAS on Raspberry Pi

I partially solved the problem: I changed the Synologic NAS with an other Raspberry Pi - in that way I could test between a Pi as NFS-Server and a Pi as NFS-Client. But the problems remained the same. I tried a lot of stuff, made tcpdump and changed the configuration but it was always the same: With NFSv3 I got an authentication on the server but the folder never appeared on the mounting point of the client. With NFSv4 nothing at all happend. Then I got a hint about problems that might occur when using a Fritzbox as router. It has an internal domain "fritz.box" which seems to make problems - maybe only in combination with my own DNS. When I took the two Raspberry Pis on an isolated network, the mounting between NFS server and client worked almost perfectly.

But some questions remain:
What is the core reason that NFS, own DNS with own domain and Fritzbox fail? And could this be prevented somehow? - I am not deep enough in NFS to understand this.
Or is it better to change the Fritzbox? Or shall I rather make an other Network with an other router behind the Fritzbox?

TIA!
