The current images should be on a 6.12 kernel.I appreciate your replies. I read through that document and it is exactly as you say. I'll redownload the new PI OS, which I expect will have a 6.6.x kernel.

I'm suspecting your old install is using Bullseye (aka Raspberry Pi OS Legacy release) rather than Bookworm.
