It still seems crazy that you can't get a pi5 footprint with a pi4 connector... but if I buy both ice cooler versions, I might be able to swap the fans... that less to throw away than the 75 quid PI

Well I would just cut-off the - now useless as you've ripped of the receptacle from the Pi5 - connector on the fan cable and crimp Dupont connectors on - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004 ... L47_D_BwE- but I might be too noob to consider other money-wasting option ..
