Thanks! Any clues on how to (manually) get books as opposed to just the mags?It is a problem with the Raspberry Pi bookshelf server. The bookshelf links for the PDFs and the covers go through a server called bookshelfproxy which is currently broken. It is returning the no subdomain specified error for everything.
The PDFs on the MagPi site still work because they don't go through bookshelfproxy.
