Yes, but I can't find my example code. Mine was a C Extension Module for MicroPython which called an array which contained assembler code created by MicroPython code. I will post it if I find it but the info you need should be findable via Google which is what I used.Is this at all possible with the RP2xxx's?
I would suggest starting with assembler which increments one or more registers and returns so you can call it and check the increments happened.
