Pad 0 of csi2 supports multiplexed streams and allows configuration of which stream routes to which /dev/videoN node.
Your deserialiser is the thing in control of which serialiser streams go to which multiplexed stream, so it should be handling that.
Having one monolithic sensor/serialiser/deserialiser device driver doesn't work.
Analog Devices are upstreaming GMSL drivers with each element being an independent subdev, and I would strongly recommend that those looking to use GMSL devices look to use those drivers.
