Threading on the RP2 is a lot better than it used to but there still seems to be bugs causing odd and inexplicable behaviour.If I run this normally , that is not using any threads , all works correctly.
My recommendation is to avoid threading or expect an exasperating and tortuous effort of trying to figure out what is going wrong when it doesn't work as expected.
