The raspberry PI moves between 50 and 60 degrees at my desk.
I definitely had it above 55 degrees before.
The pins are all fine and connected properly.
I added the four packs of parameters for fan_temp0-3 in the config.txt starting a temp0=45000 so 50 degrees celsius should spring that hurdle easily.
The final use for this PI will be running Home Assistant OS. After updating the Raspberry PI to the latest version and EEPROM through Raspberry PI OS I booted it with another SD-card with Home Assistant OS. Still no movement of the fan.
Since the EEPROM update there is not even movement during boot process.
In HAOS I also added the parameters to my config.txt and also in addition the parameter dtparam=cooling_fan=on as I have seen this as the solution in some threads online.
This latest parameter leads to my fan being visible as cooling_device0 in /sys/class/thermal/.
Without the parameter the cooling_device0 disappears.
But still no movement.
I attached some "screenshots" of my setup.
Any more ideas? If you can help me better with Raspberry Pi OS, I will gladly get the fan running on that system and will try to figure out, what I need to carry over to HAOS.
