Does anyone know if RDP requires IPv6
It's not clear to me whether you are using RDP or VNC.
If it is RDP you would be better off using X-11 rather than Wayland. Even though some say Wayland has worked that's not been my experience.
The answer to your last question appears to me to be "no" given I have it working via IPv4.
