Hi all, thanks so much for the suggestions - I have completely missed in the datasheet the ability of mov to reverse value! Thanks a lot for pointing me to it, this looks like exactly the thing I need. I am thinking that 32bit reversal should not be a problem as I can reverse 16 bits as 32 bits and shift the order of the OSR out. Unfortunately, the display (ST7789V) does not seem to support bit-reversing, I can swap RGB for BGR but that is not enough.
I'll try the mov instructions (can't wait to test it when I get home:) as I am a bit worried about swapping the traces as it can't be done in single plane and I'd rather keep the bottom plane without traces as it is visible from outside.
