What do you get if you boot without any sdcard, USB stick, disk or NVMe drive connected.
The RPi4 should produce a diag screen with the HDMI line that's been returned by the monitor. You can then compare that with what you think your monitor is capable of. You can also try setting it to video=HDMI-A-1:1920x1080M@60D (add that to cmdline.txt) as that should work for any modern HDMI device.
