My son is 6 years old in a couple of weeks and he’s shown a really interest in robotics and automation which I’m thrilled about.
I have a budget of around £200 and I’d like to get him a robotics kit that is extendable, supports a scratch type interface and can also be programmed with phython as his coding skills improve.
I’d really appreciate views on the kits that you would recommend to get my mini dreamer the best bang his buck.
Thanks
Dave
One no-frills option. The CamJam kits -

But whatever you decide, please be prepared to learn along with him and teach him resilience in the face of surprises and disappointments. This isn't Lego. Some things that appear to fit together may not give a working result...
Perhaps it won't initially take much to make something together for a sense of achievement. Just a little traffic light simulator has lots of scope for learning. https://shop.4tronix.co.uk/products/pi- ... spberry-pi
More broadly, away from purchasing advice, your question falls firmly into the remit of the Raspberry Pi Foundation at https://www.raspberrypi.org/
Their partner website has masses of Educational projects. Not all based on Raspberry Pi products. https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en
