Yes. You have to start another SSH session and try to run the game again (or any rpi-keyboard-config command). The message that appears seems to confirm that this is exactly what they intended:I have to admit that I do not really understand the purpose of the locked and unlocked states, even. But this third "unusable" state does seem particularly unhelpful.

On 500+, the power key still works. I do not think it is really part of the keyboard; I think it is wired like the power button on a Pi5. But putting the machine into standby does not help anyway. The keyboard remains unusable until unlocked or power cycled.
