I'm still leaning towards something on the Mac side but here's a couple of additional tests:
- Is the Pi5 detected by the Mac with a USB hub between it and the Mac?
- With the Pi 5 in the same configuration does the 4B detect it as a device on one of the 4B's USB A ports?
- If you have access to one, is it detected as a device by a Windows P?
