I am using Home Assistant on a Pi4/5 to connect to my Pi cams(MotionEyeOS, Pikrellcam) and other IP cameras.
There is a possibility to use AI/ML/CV on Pi5 for image recog.
One of my IP cams already has that capability built-in.
Zone Minder is another I have heard people use.
