Hi!
I have just upgraded my pi4B router with "sudo apt update" then "sudo apt upgrade" It was using kernel version 6.1.21 and got upgraded to 6.6.20.
Disaster! One of the USB ethernet interfaces failed to get a predicable name - sometimes eth0, sometimes eth1. It worked fine before. It is an ASIX chip using ax88179_178a.
I tried various udev rules but all were ignored at boot, but worked fine later using 'sudo udevadm -d trigger --action="add"'. It looks as though the driver reports "addr_assign_type=1"
After failing to find anything useful online I changed the USB interface for one using r8152 and everything is fine.
If anyone is interested I can provide more information.
As ever thanks for great work!!!
