Intermittent errors - particularly when associated with prolonged running - make me think either of power supply problems or overheating.
I have had a 3B+ in an 'open-plan' case on my desktop with a standard Pi power supply running weewx 24/7/365 for years, recording weather data in a sqlite database on the Pi's SD card, and have never seen any bad data that was not attributable to sensor problems. The same 3B+ also stores other environmental data - again with no problems over years of operation.
