Troubleshooting • Jellifin (Flarpak) in Kioskmode

Hello everyone, I would like to configure a Raspberry Pi so that it automatically establishes a VPN connection to my home network on startup and then automatically launches Wayland, in which the Jellyfin client (Flatpak) is displayed in a windowless mode. I have already managed to get this working. However, during playback tests within my home network (without VPN), the videos stutter heavily and CPU usage is almost at 100%. When testing with the native VLC player, CPU usage was only around 2–4% and there was no stuttering. Streaming was done via Samba.

The background is that the Pi is intended to be used with a TV in a remote home network and should be able to connect via VPN to my Jellyfin server and stream its content. I don’t like Kodi. I’m at a loss at this point and don’t know what else to try. I would really appreciate any help to get this working.
